It comes with an optional full-length solar roof that charges the car and cools the cabin while the vehicle is parked. Price : $87,900
4. Mitsubishi iMiev
Company headquarters : Tokyo, Japan
Mitsubishi just announced plans to partner with Portland General Electric to bring the iMiev (Mitsubishi Innovative Electric Vehicle) to the U.S. before 2012. The tiny car has a range of 80 miles from its lithium-ion battery and charges in about 13 hours from a standard outlet. Price : $30,000 (estimate)
5. Roewe MGTF
Company headquarters : Shanghai, China
Roewe’s reborn convertible coupe is about to be relaunched in the United Kingdom for the 2010 model year and will most likely go up against the likes of the Mazda MX-5 Miata and Volkswagon Eos. It’s produced by the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC has built the MG-Rover cars since 2005) and based on the Roewe 550 sedan. Price : Undisclosed.
6. SEAT Leon Style Ecomotive

The two-door Leon Style EcomotiveTDI focuses on eco-friendly efficiency. It has a diesel particular filter and gearshift indicator that tells you when to shift (which helps reduce fuel consumption and emissions), and it uses low-resistance tires that improve aerodynamics. The admittedly small 105 horsepower 1.9 liter TDI engine can travel 62 miles on just over one gallon of fuel. Price : $19,285
7. Koenigsegg CCXR

A derivative of the look-alike CCX sports car, the CCXR is the first alt-fuel powered supercar in the world. Its 4.5 liter twin-supercharged engine can run on E85 and E100 biofuel and delivers up to 1018 horsepower. It goes from 0-62 in 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of more than 250 miles per hour. The CCXR is so powerful that its lateral G-forces hit more than 1.4 G. Price : $2.4 million (approximate)

10. Leblanc Mirabeau

Why It’s Cool: The jet-like car is calibrated to Le Mans standards but is street legal nonetheless. Its top speed of 230 mph is produced by a 700 horsepower, V8 supercharged engine. Seating for two, wide-open side cavities and an open top make it distinctive. Price : $703,000
